2 BHK Residence at Thane

An abode redefining sleek comfort

This is a 2 BHK residence at the heart of Thane at the High end complex. It is a true amalgamation of style, comfort and amenities and is everything that the client dreamt about in their house. While each area of the house has its own identity and unique feel the entire design is part of a large idea and completely in sync throughout the entire residence. With abundant use of glass and high quality laminate a glossy feel is given to the design of the house and that is something that gives it a highly sophisticated look.

The main door of the house opens into the living room which is done with classy shades of white, beige and gold. A feeling of opulence and elegance hits you as you enter the house. The use of cove lighting along with a wall cladding of marble for the TV background make the living room look larger than life. Excellent use of natural light is done with the help of sheer curtains in combination with regular curtains to have complete control on the amount of sunlight that is allowed into the room. While white PU finishes on furniture and upholstery mark the theme of the design, colour in the form of sofa cushions helps in cutting out the risk of monotony.

The dining area is located on one end of the living room and is adjacent to the main entry door of the house. The area is built in such a way that it seamlessly forms part of the living room and yet remains separate from the hustle of the area. In keeping with the theme of design, the use of beige and white is also seen in the dining space. A focal wall is created to mark the dining area which also becomes an eye catching feature with the subtle use of metallic tones. The area is lit with the help of chandelier lighting which sets it apart from the rest of the room.

The common passage leading from the dining area takes you to the rest of the rooms in the house. One thing that makes the passage stand out clearly is the way in which it is made to look spacious and wider than it actually is. With intelligent use of shades of white and glass, the passage is given an illusionary look of space. Functionality of the passage is emphasized as the Mandir of the house is located in the space. It is ensured that the temple area is easily accessible for everyone in the house without getting into the way of the other habitants of the residence. A look of elegance and minimalism is also maintained in the passage area with a touch of design in the ceiling enhanced with cove lighting.

The guest cum kids bedroom is one of the few spaces where we have taken the liberty to add a splash of colour even as white remains the dominant shade. With the help of printed wallpaper we have added hues of pink, peach and grey to the guest room which is complemented with tones of aqua in the form of upholstery and bed cushion covers. Colour is also added with the help of a printed and vibrant rug which is placed aesthetically under the bed of the guest cum kids bedroom. A unique feature of the room is the ceiling which is developed in a triangular pattern and is lit with cove lighting. It must be noted that the wardrobe in the room is clad with mirrors to serve the purpose of design illusion as well as a functional dressing area.

The colour theme of beige and white runs in the master bedroom as well. However, the use of wooden laminate is something that is prominently eye catching in the room. The use of earthy shades, wood on the ceiling and beige printed wallpaper on the bed back gives a classy edge to the feel of the main bedroom of the house. The elegance is continued in the form of pristine white wardrobe doors that are finished with PU pain and high end laminates. A feature worth noticing in the room is the way in which diffused direct lights are used on the sides of the bed. While the users get the benefit of bedside lamps, they do not take up extra space as they are flushed in level with the headboard.

It can be concluded that the project is developed with the theme of minimalism in combination with elegance and class. The use of glass, high end laminates, wallpapers and Royal shine wall paint make the project high on quality and innovation. This is a project that is truly a class apart and the epitome of taste and sophistication.
